Learning Trajectory

Topic: Probability – Year 4

Learning Goal:

Students will consolidate and contextualise their qualitative understanding of the mathematical concept; of probability and use of topic specific vocabulary such as; likely, unlikely, certain, uncertain, possible, impossible and even chance. They will apply conceptual understanding and topic specific vocabulary to assess and sequence the likelihood of everyday events occurring.

 

 

Learning Trajectory for Probability Year 4

Children in all areas of learning follow a natural developmental progression, they crawl before they walk!.

 

Children also learn math skills and concepts following a natural progression. The mathematical learning trajectory supports teachers to plan for and teach the curriculum.
